When pumpkins come to life and eerie eyes watch you from the thicket – then it’s finally Halloween time again!

The festival known to great parts of the world as Halloween originated in the ancient Celtic festival called Samhain. Marking the end of the harvest season, people stocked up their food supplies for the hard winter time. As some ancient cultures believed that on October 31 the limits of the world of the living and the world of the deceased weakened, they created various rituals to avoid harm by the dead.

Irish settlers brought parts of the tradition to North America in the 19th century and many other countries also started to celebrate this day in the late 20th century. Today many countries celebrate Halloween on October 31 by decorating their houses, watching horror movies and of course going trick-or-treating. Because hey, there’s nothing better than free candy!

And in order to properly go on Trick or Treat, we prepared an extra great variety of scary Halloween costumes for you in our Itemshop! Starting from impressive masks up to full-body costumes, almost every dressing need will be answered this year.
