Sealed Items System
A long time ago, the ancestors on the old continent Lux Plena found different possibilities how to improve their equipment. With magic stones, they were able to upgrade everything they created. But from time to time, some of them found items that were enchanted in a different way: they were sealed and a magical shield was woven around them promising prospect of stronger and better items.

The Conference of 11, a secret circle of magicians, found a way how to dissolve the seals - but with the Great Upheaval and the devastation of Lux Plena, the ancient knowledge got lost. But today, a few heirs of these magicians who still know the right spells have been found - and the hunt for the sealed items is now on...
What are Sealed Items?

There is a certain chance that the pieces of equipment (both arms and armament) you find might have between one and five seals on them. You can easily find out whether your item is sealed, as sealed items will have a small lock in the lower right corner of their icons. If you move your mouse over the item to read the description, you can find out how many seals your item has.

  • Please note that not all pieces of equipment you find will automatically have seals on them!
  • You could also find a pair of Shoes with one seal and on the next day, you could find the same pair of Shoes with three seals
  • Items with five seals are extremely hard to find, items with one or two seals are more common
  • Please note that Shields don't have any seals on them
  • Gauntlets and Shoes can have up to three seals, all other equipment and weapons up to five
  • Cash items currently do not have any seals on them
  • If you don't want to release the seals of an item, you can still use it and dissolve the seals anytime later
How to dissolve the Seals
Visit your favourite bartender in one of the major cities Roxbury, Castle Hall and Glostern. The three ladies will offer you to dissolve the seals for a small fee.

Dissoluting an item works like upgrading it: right-click or drag & drop the item into the interface and take a look at the items and amount of Gelt you need. You need to have the required items in your inventory to dissolve the seals of the equipment.

If you are ready, press the "SealBreak" button. Attention: Dissolving the seals of an item can fail! Although the item itself will not be lost, one or more of the seals might be gone. However, in most cases at least one seal will successfully be dissolved.

Enjoy the benefits of your sealed items - but be careful, the seals are precious and fragile. Even the most powerful magicians among the ancestors didn't manage to dissolve all seals successfully. But they found a way to increase the chances: they found magical metals deep inside the mountains that supported them.

To improve the chances for successfully releasing the seals of an item, you can purchase keys in the Itemshop. Each key will add a 30% success rate on each seal that can be released. You only need one key for each sealed item:

Copper Key for items of level 1~20
Iron Key for items of level 21~40
Silver Key for items of level 41~60
Gold Key for items of level 61~80
Jewelry Key for items of level 81~100

No matter how many seals your item has, you only have to bring the ingredients once, as all seals will be dissolved at the same time. Each seal has an own chance to be dissolved - or to be destroyed.

To dissolve the seals, different Seal Dissolution Pearls and some Gelt are needed. The amount varies and depends on the level of the equipment. You will need between one and five different pearls in varying amounts.
Pearls can be obtained by fishing. They are rare fishing loot and the higher your fishing level, the better the pearl you can fish.

The Grade 5 Pearl is the most common one and the Grade 1 Pearl is the most rare one:

Grade 5 Seal Dissolution Pearl
Grade 4 Seal Dissolution Pearl
Grade 3 Seal Dissolution Pearl
Grade 2 Seal Dissolution Pearl
Grade 1 Seal Dissolution Pearl

Take a look at the following examples to find out which Pearls you will need:
  • To break the seals of a level 5 piece of armor, you need 1 Grade 5 Pearl
  • To break the seals of a level 37 piece of armor, you need 4 Grade 5 Pearls and 3 Grade 4 Pearls
  • To break the seals of a level 57 weapon, you need 8 Grade 5 Pearls, 7 Grade 4 Pearls, 3 Grade 3 Pearls and 1 Grade 2 Pearl
  • To break the seals of a level 77 piece of armor, you need 16 Grade 5 Pearls, 11 Grade 4 Pearls, 8 Grade 3 Pearls, 8 Grade 2 Pearls and 4 Grade 1 Pearls
If you talk to the bartender, she will tell you how many pearls you need to dissolve the seals of your item.
